Upgrade works which were due to commence at Cusack Park, Ennis this week have been postponed so as to allow the venue to host the Munster U21HC final on Thursday week, July 30.

The ailing county ground is due to receive a €2.3 million facelift, but the start date has been delayed to accommodate the U21 decider between Clare - who are chasing a four-in-a-row of provincial and All-Ireland titles in the grade - and neighbours Limerick.

The eagerly-awaited game is expected to attract a crowd of over 10,000.
