Eight counties are represented on our football team of the week ...

1. Thomas Treacy (Fermanagh)

Roscommon were unable to find a way past the Fermanagh number one and ultimately paid the price.

2. Niall Cassidy (Fermanagh)

The corner-back roamed forward to kick two points as Pete McGrath's side staged a remarkable comeback in Brewster Park.

3. Chrissy McKaigue (Derry)

Derry produced a workmanlike display to see off the challenge of Wexford and McKaigue was a steadying influence at the back.

4. Philly McMahon (Dublin)

Showed his forward team-mates how to do it when sending over his team's first point in the 8th minute.

5. Paul Sharry (Westmeath)

The St Loman's clubman can be pleased with his individual effort but the Lake County succumbed to the inevitable.

6. Cian O'Sullivan (Dublin)

Never strayed too far away from the centre-back area, O'Sullivan and his team-mates will face sterner tests in the months ahead.

7. Jack McCaffrey (Dublin)

Practically a permanent fixture on our team of the week, the Clontarf flier is a leading contender for 'Footballer of the Year' as things stand.

8. Peter Acheson (Tipperary)

The Premier County scored a surprisingly comfortable victory over Louth and the midfielder was one of their standout performers.

9. Paul Cribbin (Kildare)

A black card in the second-half failed to take the gloss of a display which saw Cribbin on target with three first-half points.

10. Tiernan McCann (Tyrone)

Introduced as a half-time substitute, McCann's direct running caused serious headaches for Meath and he earned the penalty that swung the qualifier in the Red Hands favour.

11. Ciaran Kilkenny (Dublin)

The Castleknock star's appetite for hard graft is a joy to behold and he landed three points in the Delaney Cup decider.

12. Diarmuid Connolly (Dublin)

On a day when some of his forward colleagues failed to fire on all cylinders, Connolly maintained his usual high standards.

13. Tomas Corrigan (Fermanagh)

Along with Sean Quigley, Corrigan kicked some inspirational scores, including a sideline ball, to dump Roscommon out of the championship.

14. Damien Comer (Galway)

Comer's goal was the difference against Armagh and the talented forward also chipped in with two points.

15. Cailean O'Boyle (Derry)

The Oak Leaf corner-forward asked serious questions of the Wexford full-back line and raised three white flags.
