Clare football manager Colm Collins has received a 12-week ban.

The Clare Champion is reporting that the Cratloe man has been hit with the suspension by the CCCC arising from an incident which took place during the Banner's Allianz League game against Fermanagh. Collins has apparently accepted the ban, meaning he won't be on the sideline for Saturday week's Munster SFC opener against Limerick at Cusack Park.

Collins will also be banned from the sideline and dressing-rooms for Clare's glamour SF challenge against Dublin in Miltown Malbay this evening. The game, which throws in at 7.30pm, is being held to mark the official switching-on of the new floodlights at Hennessey Park.
