Crusheen keen to go back to roots

April 24, 2015

Crusheen GAA club have informed the Clare County Board of their intention to purchase their original home.

Crusheen had been based in Ballyline in the 1980s, but sold the grounds to Clare GAA, with the club move to their current grounds in the village.

Crusheen chairman Brian Slevin told the Clare Champion: "We are very interested and we have expressed that interest to the board. We are very caught for space. Our pitch is used almost every night of the week."

The decision is now with the Clare County Board as to whether they want to sell the grounds or not, but County Board chairman Michael McDonagh stated that if it is to be sold, it will be to a GAA entity.
