Kilmaley selector Gerry Kennedy believes that the club can use their Under-21 hurling success as a stepping stone for the future.
Kennedy also stressed to the Clare Champion that the A championship win over Eire Og does not guarantee success in the future.
It was forty years since their last success at this level and Kennedy is keen to build on their success.
"The future looks bright for the club but nothing can be taken for granted. The senior management is working very hard with the players and hopefully this will lead to success over the next three or four years," said Kennedy.
