Clare attacker Shane O'Donnell is hoping for better luck on the injury front in 2015.

The hat-trick hero of the Banner County's 2013 All-Ireland final replay victory over Cork, O'Donnell also bagged two goals in Clare's league quarter-final victory over Laois last March. He didn't represent his county again until Sunday's Division 1A meeting with Galway in Salthill:

"I was getting set for a great year last year and then everything fell apart close to championship time, but that stuff happens," he comments in The Irish Independent. "If I stay injury-free for the rest of this year, that is all I am looking for.

"I have done massive work on my hamstrings. Any time I get a week off I am doing two or three days trying to build up them even more.

"I know what is weak at this stage. Hopefully nothing else will crop up that will keep me out but the hamstrings at the moment are feeling very strong."
