Club secretary steps down after 41 years

For the first time in 41 years, Clare club St Senan's, Kilkee have had to appoint a new secretary.

There were glowing tributes paid to John Lynch who held the position since 1974, a remarkable statistic that has been outdone by few, if any, in GAA circles.

Despite, stepping down from his role, Lynch is still involved with the club and has taken on the role of Lotto co-ordinator.

He is replaced by Diarmuid Keane, while the club also have a new chairman as Christy Kirwan replaces Peter Muldoon after five years in the position.
