Cratloe's Liam Markham has played down the fact that they are in bonus territory in both codes.

The club's footballers are just one game away from joining their hurlers in the Munster club final as the footballers take on The Nire of Waterford on Sunday.

Following their win over Thurles Sarsfields in the Munster club SHC semi-final last weekend, the club are on the cusp of an historic double.

Many feel that anything from here on in is a bonus for the club, but Markham stressed to the Clare champion that they had a responsibility to represent their county as best they can.

"It's not bonus territory because it's a big responsibility when you represent Clare in any competition and that's what we are concerned about," said Markham.

"The focus now changes to football and we have a tough assignment in Dungarvan on Sunday. It's tough going and we never said it wasn't. We were missing Ogie and he is an inspirational player for us. We felt for him and it gave us a boost as we said we would do it for him. He is a stalwart for the club.

"Playing week in, week out you will pick up knocks and we have been fortunate enough not to have picked up too many. We won't be giving out about where we are. We are happy to be there and will continue to give it our best."
