Despite having Paddy Vaughan sent off just before half-time, Crusheen held on to secure a 0-10 to 0-7 semi-final win over Clonlara in the Clare SHC at Cusack Park today.

The 2010 and 2011 champions displayed commendable battling qualities to overcome their numerical disadvantage and see off the Clonlara challenge

The game was delicately poised at the change of ends on six points apiece but Crusheen restricted their opponents to a solitary point in the second half.
