Clare's bid for a three-in-a-row of All-Ireland U21HC titles has been boosted by Conor Cleary's return to training.

Cleary is expected to be available for next Saturday's final against Wexford in Semple Stadium after having the cast removed from his injured hand last Monday. The Kilmaley clubman, who missed the facile All-Ireland semi-final win over Antrim after suffering the injury in a club game, trained with the team on Tuesday evening and again this weekend.

Alan O'Neill deputised at centre back for Cleary against Antrim.
