Down Senior Championship
It will hardly matter that both finals are fixed for the same date, if Castlewellan can get co chair to change the date of the U-12 final, I'm quite sure the co executive can have no objection to the Div 2 or Div 4 final moving!!!

Down Senior Championship
Ooops Ferryfield looks like you were pretty far from the mark!!!

Down def seems to be weeding out alot of managers so far Bonny has gone from the co seniors and the word on the street is that Longstone have finally dispensed with the boy in charge of their seniors,

Down Senior Championship
Liatriom II gave Ben Dearg the match as many of their players are doubling up playing Div1 & Div2 - as is the case with Ben Dearg in DivII & Div4 - the difference being Ben Dearg have a number of very good players under the age of 18 and they can play in both championships - which then in turn would be intereseting if they were to make it to the final of both competitions as they are both scheduled to be played on 24th Aug'''''''

Down Senior Championship
Not so sure that Ben Dearg Liatroim is postponed Ferryfield. As far as I'm aware your first version was right- Liatroim gave Ben Dearg the match. They couldn't field because once their players played in the Senior Championship they were not eligible to pay in Div 2 Championship

Down Senior Championship
Ballyholland beat Ballycran, Clonduff beat St John's those 2 results are definite, rumour has it Liatriom have given the game to Ben Dearg as they cant field, which if its true is a very sad state of affairs for what was once a very strong club

Down Senior Championship
This final will be a tough call. I wouldn't be surprised if Ballycran caused an upset - they will be so up for this game especially since beating Clonduff already in the league this year. They will have C McGourty back for the game and J Branniff is already back and playing some great stuff plus they have some excellent young players although maybe just too young for this year.

Down Senior Championship
Good result for Clonduff thought they were in control most of the game but panic and lack of concentration could have brought Leitrim back into it. Thought Clonduff weren't completely fit looking - some of their players looked good but due to recent injuries thought some players just weren't playing at 100% - which suppose it is a good thing since they have over 5 weeks to improve that provided they don't have any more injuries. They've had their fair share since the begiining of the year one Clonduff player told me 9 senior players had serious injuries which left them out of training or matches during the year. Why was Mo Mac not playing, massive loss for the Fontenoys, could have made a difference! Any word on the Ballela / Ballycran game was it played last night. When is the Intermediate Championship start.

Down Senior Championship
Clonduff won 4-9 to 2-9 I think. Good tough game. Leitrim game back a bit in the second half but Clonduff held on...great team performance!!!
