Mary Connor of the St Anne's Camogie Club in Louth was elected on Saturday at the Annual Convention of the Leinster Camogie Council to the position of Vice-President.

Mary had completed her term as Delegate to Ard Comhairle.  In her acceptance Mary thanked her multitude of camogie friends and remarked "no fortune would ever give me back what I've got from camogie."

Convention heard that "Numbers enrolled in camogie clubs in Leinster have reached an all-time high. Registrar Linda Kenny reported that there are 26,549 members with 23,040 belonging to the playing category.  This reflected an increase of 1,148 on 2014 figures from 212 clubs."

Pat Martin of Dublin formally assumed the position of Cathaoirleach for the next three years
