March 30, 2015

Aberdour Shinty Club from Scotland pays a visit to the Centre of Excellence in Ballinakill on Easter Sunday to play a selection of Wicklow Minors & U16 Camogie players. This is something a bit different for the girls and promises to be an entertaining and testing event!
Shinty is the traditional Scottish game that resembles Camogie/Hurling and this will be a match with Compromise Rules.
Check out 'Women's Camanachd Association' & 'The World of Shinty' on Facebook to get a taste of the game and get along to Ballinakill on Sunday morning 11.30 to see the action!

The County U16s completed their Leinster Championship group Fixtures on Sunday with a match v. Meath played in Arklow in poor weather conditions. Meath were stronger on the day and Wicklow now play in the Shield semi-final on Sunday April 12th.
