Fr Murphy's Ladies Football & Camogie Club, were honoured to be asked to carry the provincial and county association banners at the head of the mayor of London's St Patrick's Day parade, they all had a great day, meeting all the celebrities, including Barry Mc Guigan and Maggie Doyle. The were delighted to be awarded the C.I.C.A cup for the best turned out Gaelic Team in the parade, this trophy was sponsored by Joe Fryday The girls were also seen on ITV news that evening as grand marshall Barry McGuigan was being interviewed  the previous weekend the club got to the final of the International Women's Day Camogie tournament in Birmingham, the reached the final and played Tara, after a very slow start, conceding 2-02 in the first 10 mins, they then came back only for the clock to beat, loosing by just two points 2.04 to 1.05, so near but a good day's work.
Next weekend the club will participate in The Ann Dunning memorial tournament at Greenford, a competition in memory of a great lady, founder of Holloway Gaels and a former London player, who so tragically died of a rare form of cancer, just after her son was born, we are current holders of the trophy and delighted to be asked to defend it on Saturday
