Meath Div 1 Camogie League played @ Kilmessan Tues 16 Sept

Half time score: Kilmessan 1-5 Kiltale 1-10
Full time score: Kilmessan 5-17 Kiltale 2-13

It took the introduction of a number of experienced substitutes to swing this recent league tie in Kilmessans favour. It was mainly Kilmessan's intermediate team that played the first half and found the going tough against a Kiltale side eager to finish off their year on a high with only a few games left in league and championship. kiltale went in at the break with a 5 point lead and perhaps it could of been more but as mentioned the introduction of some strong subs turned the tide in the second period. Kilmessan remain unbeaten in the Div 1 league and have one game remaining against Blackhall Gaels

Meath Senior Camogie Championship Semi-Final played @ Batterstown Sun 21st Sept

Half time score: Kilmessan 4-11 Ratoath 0-1
Full time score: Kilmessan 7-29 Ratoath 1-1
Kilmessan booked their place into this years final with a comprehensive victory over first time ever senior semi-finalists Ratoath. Ratoath defended well in the opening quarter restricting Kilmessan to scoring from long range and placed balls however once Katie Ni Choileain broke through the rearguard with her opening goal thus began the onslaught with Kilmessan registering scores from 5 of their starting forwards and midfielder Frances Lynch. Ratoaths only score in the opening half was an excellent point on the run from the talented Amy Gaffney. The second half proved to be much the same with Ratoath finding no answer to Kilmessan's attack, Ni Choileain scorer in chief with an impressive final tally of 3-5 from play.
Although Kilmessan chalked up a massive score, special mention to the outstanding half back line of Maeve O'Leary and Tracy King at wing back but in particular centre back and team captain Ailbhe Lynch who gave an exhibition in defensive play and distribution.
Kilmessan certainly won't suffer from complacency after this big win and will be aware of the bigger threat they face from Duboyne in next Sundays Senior Final
