Speaking just minutes after her dramatic 56-55 election victory over Kathleen Woods in Armagh, Catherine looked forward to succeeding Aileen Lawlor as President in 2015.
"It's such an exciting time. I'm really lucky to be coming in when there's so much going on in Camogie," said Neary.
The Kilkenny native welcomed the unanimous decision by Congress delegates to accept the motion to begin negotiations with the GAA and LGFA on the One Association Model.
Neary is the second Camogie President from Kilkenny, following Mary Fennelly in the 1980s.
