May 08, 2013
In a week where Camogie has received a significant sponsorship boost, Aileen Lawlor, President of the Camogie Association, has claimed that the game is 'thriving' at all levels.
Speaking at the 2013 Irish Daily Star National League Division 3 and 4 Finals in Mullingar on Saturday May 4, the President said that the games reflected superb work being done all over the country at under-age and grass roots levels.
Carlow defeated Tyrone with a last-minute goal in their Division 4 Final, while Laois overcame Dublin in the Division 3 decider by 0-9 to 0-7.
'Today's games were very exciting, competitive and of a high standard. They show that camogie is thriving in all divisions of the League, not just in Division One'.
