Sheedy's brother named Tipp minor selector

Former Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy
John Sheedy - an older brother of 2010 All-Ireland winning manager Liam - will be involved with the Tipperary minor hurlers next year.

Sheedy, who kept goal for Tipp in the mid-1980s, will serve as a selector under new manager Liam Cahill along with Clonoulty-Rossmore's TJ Ryan and Sean Corbett of Durlas Og. 1996 All Star forward Cahill was confirmed as minor manager in September.

The Sheedy brothers teamed up last year to help their home club of Portroe to a North Tipperary SHC title.

It has also been confirmed that Charlie McGeever will be continuing as minor football manager, with Niall Fitzgerald (Moyle Rovers), Brian White (Clonmel Commercials) and Shane Stapleton (Golden-Kilfeacle) acting as his selectors.
