The elderly man who died in an accident on a south Armagh farm yesterday afternoon was an avid supporter of Silverbridge Harps GFC.

It's believed the death of Gene Murphy, who was in his 70s, was caused by a tractor. 

Newry, Mourne & Down Sinn Fein councillor Barra O Muiri, who represents the Silverbridge area, said the community had been left numb by the tragedy.

"The deceased man is well-known among the football club, the wider community and farming community," he told the BBC.
