Nine counties are represented on our football team of the week...

1. Donal O'Sullivan (Limerick)

Kept Antrim at bay with a string of second-half saves as the Shannonsiders held on for victory over the Saffons in Belfast.

2. Jonny Cooper (Dublin)

The Dublin defence wasn't overly stretched by the Royals but Cooper went about his business with the minimum of fuss.

3. Eoin Rigney (Offaly)

Proved to be the rock on which many a London attack perished as the Faithful County returned to winning ways in Tullamore.

4. Paddy McGrath (Donegal)

Was handed the considerable task of trying to curb Conor McManus' influence and he limited the Clontibret ace to one point from play.

5. Francis Boyle (Westmeath)

Mopped up a lot of stray ball as the spare man in the Lake County defence and distributed accurately into his forward line.

6. Michael Quinn (Longford)

The midlanders showed Down the exit door and Quinn was their standout performer, kicking four points from play.

7. James Dolan (Westmeath)

His frequent forays into enemy territory reaped huge rewards for Westmeath and he scored their all-important goal in the second-half.

8. Ryan Jones (Fermanagh)

The switch of Jones to centre-field reaped huge dividends as the Ernesiders pulled away from Wexford in the closing 25 minutes.

9. Karl O'Connell (Monaghan)

Produced a powerful performance in the Farney County engine room from start to finish and found the target with two valuable points.

10. Paul Flynn (Dublin)

Can be happy with his contribution on his return from injury and will benefit from having a game under his belt.

11. Owen Duffy (Monaghan)

The Farney man asked tough questions of the Donegal defence and the only answer they could come up with was fouls.

12. Diarmuid Connolly (Dublin)

Didn't have to hit top gear but still kicked four points as the Meath defence failed to get close to him.

13. Tomas Corrigan (Fermanagh)

The classy corner-forward finished with nine points (four from play) to his name as the Ernesiders advanced to Round 2B of the qualifiers.

14. Dean Rock (Dublin)

Rock's unerring accuracy from placed balls is a potent weapon in Dublin's attacking arsenal.

15. Donal O'Hare (Down)

Despite the best efforts of O'Hare, who registered 2-9, it was a day to forget for the Mourne County in Newry.
