Wicklow - Senior hurling

I thought Bray were slightly the better team in the first half and they should have been a couple more points ahead missed a lot of frees and 2 goal chances. Pats completely took over the 2nd half bar the last 5/6mins when they stumbled with the finish line insight. Don't know what the bray keeper was doing for the 2nd goal with the short puck out which Andy took full advantage of.The peno miss was crucial even though it shouldn't have been awarded as it was a technical foul. Bray in fairness showed why they're champions they hung in there and capitalised on the couple of mistakes to steal the game. Glenealy will win other semi final and we should have a cracking final in-store.

Hopefully he wasn't at it because the poor divel really knows nothing about hurling if he was

Bray v Glenealy final
Glenealy conceding goals and let in 4 yesterday. Obviously they have a problem in the defence and a dodgy goalkeeper. I can see us scoring 5 or 6 goals. The other thing we have on our side is hunger for a four in a row of titles which equals Glenealy's record.
Bray by 6 or 7

Northernboys obsession with Glenealy never ceases to amaze me. Of his 60 odd posts at least two thirds make some reference to the red & whites - usually some insightful thought on how poor their management/players/game plan/unity/general club etc etc etc is. Somewhere along the way a Glenealy lass must have broken his heart or a Glenealy lad kicked sand in his face on Bray beach.

He tells us earlier in the topic that Glenealy will definitely beat Eire Og but then a day or two later cops on to himself and assures us that indeed the men from the Glen are bound to be second best to the Greystones boys!

Facts have no place in his thought process, like a jilted lover he will blurt out the barbed comment without a thought to anyone's feelings , oh how the folk of Glenealy must be raging about the slight on their defense(shaky as it is!). Of course if you look at the cold facts they have after all conceded 10 goals in the league/championship to date while the miserly Bray defense have managed to restrict their opponents to just 12 goals - a sure pointer to the Bray men's superiority over the Glenealy boy's (by the way Glenealy conceded 6 of theirs over two games with Eire Og & Bray 7 of theirs over two games with St Pats)

Hurling in this county started long before a great Bray team came to the top , the Rocks team of the 70's,Carnew in the early 80's, Kiltegan in the 90's , Carnew then Glenealy & vice versa in the 00's and the Glenealy team of this decade didn't obsess about anyone else , they got on with winning until they got knocked off their perches - that is the way of champions and Bray have deservedly joined those clubs. Northenboy should be more comfortable in his sides dominance and enjoy it for as long as it lasts , looking down on those behind you lacks class and takes away from achievements of his club.

Apart from all that it has the makings of a good game - Bray as champions have to be 5 or 6 point favorites. They haven't gone well all year but still produced the goods when it really mattered against St Pats , Glenealy got at their full back line earlier in the year and the full back looked uncomfortable with Driver all the game and he got completely cleaned first day out against St Pats and had to be moved for semi. Bray have the class forwards though and in Moorehouse,Doyle and Lee should have the firepower to win it. Glenealy always have the hurlers and if the minds are right can outclass any one - they have issues around the goalkeeper who looks really dodgy and have managed to get to a county final while being cleaned out in midfield for the last 20 minutes of nearly every game! If they can sort those issues it could be close , if not Bray will take it with a bit to spare
