St. Patrick's Club notes - 17th July 2017  

Congratulations to all involved with our Senior Ladies who welcomed Baltinglass to Dunbur last Tuesday 11th July in our second match of the Championship.  Pats's fought hard in every position with half time score 0-10 to 0-02.  Second half proved no different with a penalty awarded Captain Cool Sarah Delahunt stood up and powered it to the right hand side of Ger Norton.  The girls played some fab football and came out convinced winners in the end.  1-11 to 0-06.

Congratulations to Barry, BA and all the players involved with St Pat's Junior A team who defeated Carnew by 3-16 to 0-3 in the JAFC in Arklow last Tuesday.

Hard luck to our hurlers who lost out to Glenealy on Sunday with the Final score in Aughrim 0-20 to 1-12 in the Senior Hurling Championship.

Well done to our junior ladies on an excellent win on Thursday over Barndarrig on a full time score of 11-13 to 1-05. We would like to wish Michaela Dickenson a speedy recovery who sustained an injury. 

Well done to the U13 hurlers who defeated Carnew on Monday evening in Dunbur on a scoreline of 5-6 to 1-4

Well done to the U14 girls on Thursday in the U14 division 4 with a victory against their hosts Kilcoole on a final scoreline of  0-7 4-12.

Well done to Mark Evans and Cathal O'Brien who headed to Abbotstown on Saturday with the County u14 academy they took on Louth and won 1 game and lost another. 

Congratulations to Cian Kelly was on the successful County u16 team who defeated Dublin at the weekend

Fantastic achievement by our U12 girls Abbie O'Brien and Lexi Leferve who were winners of the Lidl LFGA skill day in St Brigid's GAA Castleknock.

Well done to this week's u7 hurlers of the week Ryan Cox and Fionn Convery! Well done all!

The club is delighted to announce that we have purchased a green field site of 30 acres on the Greenhill road. This development will secure the long term future of St.Patrick's G.A.A. Club and its future members for generations to come.
The Club looks forward to sharing our plans with all our members and our supporters on Thursday the 10th of August at 8pm in the clubhouse.

Wicklow Golf Club are hosting an Inter Club Talent Competition on Saturday 12th August 2017. This event is to raise much needed funds for Breast Cancer Research Ireland and is in conjunction with the Play in Pink golf competition that Wicklow Golf Club Ladies will be organising on Saturday 12th August. A night of fun and craic at Wicklow Golf Club inter-club talent competition. Music on the night will be provided by Breakaway.
Any budding singers, comedians, dancers or any form of entertainer welcome! The winner will receive €100.

Have you got any used football boots/hurling helmets you are not using? The club would love them. They can be dropped into the gear shop every Saturday morning to help with the club gear exchange program.

Don't forget tuck shop and club gear shop open every Saturday morning 11-12:30.

Jersey sizes are the same as the jersey sold in our Club Shop on Saturday mornings: 0-6 months, 1-2 years, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 10-11, 13, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 2XL etc.
Prices are €28 for sizes 0-6 thru' 3-4, €30 for sizes 5-6 thru' 10/11, €40 for size 13, €45 for all adult sizes.
A Big Thank you to volunteers Siobhan Hollingsworth, Emma Hughes Czwalina in the Tuck Shop and Marie O'Brien, Olivia Connolly Carey and Mick Murphy who have volunteered to assist with the Club Gear Shop at the club Nursery every Saturday in Dunbur.

Thanks to the weekly Club Lotto Sellers who give up their time to help raise funds for the Club. It's greatly appreciated. The next draw is on Monday 26th June in the Clubhouse. Make sure you buy a ticket each week and you could be the winner of our Match 4 prize €1,900 or Match 5 €10,000 jackpot! 
As part of club development and potential additional playing facilities, we are requesting that each age group team support the lotto selling rota by providing a team of 4 on their designated Saturday. Our sincere condolences to Michael (Mick) and the Murphy family on the passing of their sister Bridget Murphy (née MURPHY) (Lisbourne, Carrigaline and late of Powdermills, Ballincollig) on July 15, 2017, peacefully, at Marymount, surrounded by her loving family, after a bravely fought battle. BRIDGET (nee Murphy), beloved wife of Derry, loving mother of Sarah, Deirdre and Alan, devoted granny to Lucy, Grace, Katie, Jack and James and dear sister of the late Tim. Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband, children, grandchildren, brothers Michael and Liam, sister Margaret and cousin Anne, sons-in-law Trevor and John and Alan's partner John, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends.
