Seniors- Seniors are up against Rathnew this Wed 21 Jun at home. 8pm kick off.

Division 4 Football League West - Next up is away v Lacken on Thurs 22 at 8pm.  

County Seniors - Hard luck to the county lads who were beaten by Laois in Joule Park, Aughrim on Sat 17 Jun. Blessington had 3 lads on the team. Paul McLoughlin (did not start), David Boothman and Anto McLoughlin. Great recovery but unfortunately ran out of time. Final score 3-10 to 2-16.

Senior ladies - Our ladies are away v O'Dwyers at 7.30pm on Wed 21.

U12 girls - away v Kilcullen on Thurs 22 at 7pm.

U10 girls - U10 girls took part in a Wicklow blitz in Baltinglass on Sat 17 Jun. Great performance and effort from all the girls. Very warm conditions and the girls came out on top in all 3 games. A super day for all.

U14 girls - Thanks to all who helped out at and supported our U14 GIRLS CAR WASH Fundraiser. We made €1017!!!! The winner of the KARCHER Power Washer was DOMINIC CRONIN. A massive thank you to PAUL CARROLL and KARCHER for all the equipment and help!!!!

Physio -Physio on Wed at 7pm in the clubhouse. €5 donation. Players training will have first preference.   

G4M&O - Training Wed 7pm to 8pm. Anyone over 18 is welcome to come along and try it out for a few weeks no previous football experience is needed. The girls play their first Blitz on Sun 25 Jun at 12 noon in Raheens which should be a great day out with first runouts for Roisin O'Brien and Emer McIntyre Reape.

Coach training -  Foundation course - We are hopefully running the practical element of the foundation award course in Blessington GAA on Sat 24 June with the following session the following Sat or midweek. The theory is separate and will be completed online in your own time. If anyone is interested please contact Cormac on 087 9005577.

U8/U9 - Our U8 and U9 teams took part in a bonding session and took part in the To Hell and Back in Kilruddery House on Sun 18 Jun. Course was over 2.5 kms on a very hot day. Well done to all. U8's away on Friday 23 Jun v Kilcock at 7pm. U7/U9 Blitz in Ballinakill on Sat 24 Jun  TBC.

 

U10/U11 - Wed 21 Jun 11 will have two teams away v Anacurra and 1 team at home v Shillelagh. 7pm for both games. U10' away v Confey on Sat 24 TBC.

 

U12/U13 -

Training Wed 6:30 to 8pm, Fri 6:30 to 8pm. 

U12's - 

Training Wed 6:30 to 8pm, Fri 6:30 to 8pm. Pizza Party and Match video review on Fri 23 in the clubhouse Busy week for U12's: Tues 20 Away to Raheens in the Cup quarter final 7:30pm. Thurs 22 at home V Ardclough 7pm.

U13's - St Pats Game cancelled this week. Next Games: Re-fixture of U13 V Eire Og to be confirmed.

U17's - U17 seven a side football on Mon 19 Jun in Ballinakill for non-exam students. Training as normal on Wed. League match away v Baltinglass on Thurs 22 Jun at 7.15pm

Hurling

Western Gaels Feile 2017 - Unfortunately the team were beaten in the semi-finals by a very strong Fethard St.Mogues team on Sun 18. The lads have done the club and county so proud for all their hard work, efforts and achievements Well done to the Blessington players - Austin Brennan, Liam Phibbs, Patrick Doherty, Conor Gilligan, Conor Richardson, Adam Williamson and Sam Gough. Great memories that will last a lifetime.

U7 hurling - Our U7 and U9 hurlers travelled to Kiltegan last Fri 16 for Go Games. Our U7's played Kiltegan and Stratford/Hollywood. A great night's hurling on a super-hot evening for all. We won 1 and lost 1 but great performances all round with Jude Tobin and Austin Murphy playing to the fore.

U8 hurling - away v Cappagh on Tues 20 June at 7pm.

U9 hurling - Our U9 hurlers travelled to Kiltegan on Fri 16 last. Kiltegan fielded 2 teams and Stratford /Hollywood also travelled. We held our own in all matches only to be beaten by a few scores each time. Ryan Sargent, Callum Jordan Dempsey and Fiacha Duffy had come to the fore for man of the match each game. We would like to thank all parents who travelled on a hot evening. The foundation course is being run next sat for all parents who wish to help us out with the growing numbers attending.

U10 hurling - U10 hurlers continued their winning streak in NKL with another win against Kill last Wed. Real team effort again and looking forward to the last game of the league this coming week against Maynooth on Wed 21 Jun at home 7pm.

U12 hurling - Western Gaels won the NKL Final v Maynooth on Sat 17 Jun in Newbridge 3-5 to 3-2. Blessington players on team are Finn Behan, Brian Richardson, Jack Byrne, Oisin ONeill, Senan Gardner, Max Kehoe, Thomas Walsh and Fergal Brogan. Well done to management and team.

Cul Camp - It is very important that you register on line to ensure that your child has a place for the Go Games. Calling Chris is not sufficient as she will just provide information.Football 10 July - 14 July and hurling 24 - 28 July. Contact Chris O'Connor on 086 2239403 to register early. €60 first child. €50 second child. €40 for third and subsequent children. For children attending a second camp, without the complimentary gear the cost is 35. Attendance is open to school children ages 6 years to 13 years. Lotto - There was no winner of the €2200 jackpot on 13 June. Numbers drawn were 11,14, 22,28. There were 2 winners who matched 3 numbers and wins €150 each - Harry Wilson and Michael Nugent. Tree of Hope - Thank you to everyone who turned up to the planting of the Tree of Hope at the pitch on Sat 17 Jun. It was an emotional ceremony. Thank you to the Tree of Hope committee who came from Tallaght to perform the ceremony. The lovely "Healing Tree" was sponsored by a kind benefactor who wishes to remain anonymous. Thank you to Caroline and Lorraine Quigley who performed a beautiful song during the planting ceremony.  

 

Coiste na nOg - Meeting on Tues 20 June at 8pm in Ballinakill. It is very important that the club is represented.

Cash for Clubs - The club has registered again this year for Topaz Cash for Clubs. Every time you spend €30 and present your game tag you will get one point. We will need 2,000!!!!! Clothing Collection ongoing - collecting good quality second hand clothing suitable for re-use. Please fill as many black bin bags as you can - the more we collect, the more our club receives.
