The Wicklow County Board have revealed that the cost of running all their county teams at adult and underage level will come in at around €375,000.

The bill for running every county team will be seen as one of the lowest in the country as some counties border on the €1 million mark.

However, it is still a considerable expense for a county like Wicklow who don't have the financial pull that other counties have.

"Just on team expenses, year to date we've spent on our adult teams including under-21 and minor hurling and football, we've spent €310,236," said County Board member Patrick Doyle.

"We've a budget of €65,000 for development squads and it looks like we're going to come in a little less than that.

"That brings us to €375,000 plus or minus a few euros that we've spent on teams so far with some bills still to come in."
