Arklow Geraldines Ballymoney GAA Club Notes
June 20, 2016AGB U14 girls got back to winning ways late last week away to Baltinglass, and finished with a final score of AGB 7-7 Baltinglass 2-1. The girls started anxiously but within the first ten minutes they took the game in hand. After a few wides, the girls took their scores well and dominated the game, leading at halftime. The second half saw a more confident team take total control of the game and saw some wonderful scores from distance. There was a great all round display by all the girls, and this will give the girls huge confidence going into next weekend in the regional Feile in Kildare, where they will play against teams from Galway, Mayo and Westmeath.
AGB U10 girls played Castletown in a challenge match during the week. The girls put in a tremendous effort in their game and all were very happy with the outcome on the night.
The first County Development Draw took place last Friday 17th June in The Arklow Bay Hotel. Thanking you all for your support. Well done to all the winners, and especially Jennifer Mitchell and Gwen and Belinda McElleron who were lucky winners of €150 in the draw. The next draw will be held next Friday 24th June at 8pm in the Centre of Excellence Ballinakill, all are welcome to attend.
AGB membership badges are now available for €5 for all Club members. They can be bought in Pearses' Park or Ballymoney.
AGB's Summer Camp for children aged 5 - 12 will be held in Pearses' Park from the 8th to 12th of August. Prices are €40 per child. An exciting week of fun, games and activities are planned. Applications can be made on 0871374812 or at [email protected].
The next meeting of the Arklow Geraldines Ballymoney Club Executive is scheduled for Wednesday 6th of July 2016 at 8.00pm in Pearse's Park.
