Carlow manager Turlough O'Brien admits that his side can't wait for Saturday evening's All-Ireland SFC qualifier against neighbours Wicklow.

The Barrowsiders host the Garden County at Netwatch Cullen Park this weekend and there is a real buzz ahead of the game.

Both counties will feel that they have got the perfect draw, although O'Brien admitted to the Carlow Nationalist that he wouldn't have minded testing his side against some of the 'bigger' counties.

"I couldn't wait for the draw. I knew what teams were in our side. I was happy with the draw but then maybe we would have like to have drawn one of the big teams to see how we would measure up," said O'Brien.

"I think both sides saw the draw and said that was a good draw for us. No doubt about it. Two Division Four teams at the same level and win in the qualifiers would give huge momentum.

"Wicklow have a good track record. They will want a run in the qualifiers and maybe have set themselves up that way."
