Senior - On Tues 17 May  Blessington edged a tight contest on Tues 17 May in Div 1 which resulted in a two point win over Tinahely at home. Blessington 0-11 - Tinahely 1-06. The game was tight throughout with Tinahely holding a lead through most of the game. Wicklow Senior hurlers - Well done to the hurlers on a win over Derry in the Christy Ring Cup relegation battle by 2-22 to 0-15.

 

Physio - Physio will be at the clubhouse this Tues 24 May at 7pm. Priority will be given to players training on the night.

U14 - U14 girls beat St Nicks on Thurs 19 away 8-13 to 5-06.

U12 - U12 girls away v Rathnew on Tues 24 May 7.15pm and at home v Leixlip on Thurs 26 7.15pm.

U10 - Hard luck to our U10 girls in the Kildare League at home against Baltinglass on Sat 21 May. We played two 10 a side matches and were short a number of players due to the Gaelscoil Communion. Despite that the girls tried hard throughout. A super Player of the match display from Erin McMahon and great never give up attitude by Aoife Cullen, Leah Richardson, Asia Duggan, Abbie O'Riordan, Caoimhe Gilligan, Susie Cronin, Emily O'Rourke and Laura Seale. Next up is on Wed 25 May away v St Lawrence's 7pm.

U10 - We hosted Dunlavin in the Go Games on Sat morning 21 May with both teams fielding two teams and the standard of football was really good  from both clubs. A big thanks to parents who brought and served food. Our next Wicklow Go Game is against Bray Emmets in Ballinakill on June 11th at 1pm. U10 NKL on Sat 28 May at home v Carbury 3.30pm.

U9 - NKL. Despite playing against Dunlavin in the morning our U9's showed no sign of tiredness when they  travelled to play St Edwards in the afternoon. The lads put in a great performance and continued their good run in the league. Thanks to the U8 lads who came along as we were short numbers due communion in the Gaelscoil.

U8 - Well done to the U8's who played at home v Dunlavin on Sat 21 May. We had two teams out and both had good wins. U8's NKL home v Maynooth Sat 28 May 2.30pm.

Hurling

U8/U10 - away v Kiltegan on Fri 27 May 7pm.

U16 - Dwyer's had an unexpected win against Celbridge away in round 5 of Division 1 Kildare league. After a poor start Dwyer's were 3 points down at half time. An improved second half performance saw them win comfortably 05-10 to 03-03 at the final whistle. Blessington represented by D.Williamson , D.Phibbs , K.Quinn , E.Higgins and C.Murphy (01-04 , 1f , 2 65 ).

The Wicklow U16 league finally got underway on Mon 9 May with Dwyer's at home to St Pats in Kiltegan. A very entertaining game of good quality but very physical hurling ended in a 01-09 to 01-09 draw. Blessington represented by the in-form D.Williamson 01-04 , D.Phibbs , K.Quinn , E.Higgins (0-01 ) and C.Murphy (1f , 2 65 ). Next league match Avondale Parnells (group team of Avondale and Arklow ) away 27 June. No more Hurling now until after the Junior Cert.
