It was another massive day in the club championships with ten major matches taking place around the country.

The last two county finals of the year were down for decision in Kerry and Galway, with Killarney Legion and South Kerry colliding in the Kerry SFC final while Craughwell and Sarsfields faced off in the Galway SHC decider.

At provincial level, defending All-Ireland champions Corofin were amongst the teams involved in the Connacht Club SFC semi-finals. The Galway standard bearers travelled to Markievicz Park to take on St Mary's of Sligo, while Clann na nGael of Roscommon faced Mayo kingpins Castlebar Mitchels.

Meanwhile, all four Leinster Club SFC quarter-finals also took place: Portlaoise (Laois) V Sarsfields (Kildare); Killoe Emmet Og (Longford) V Navan O'Mahonys (Meath); Rathnew (Wicklow) V St Loman's (Westmeath); and St Patricks (Louth) V Ballyboden St Enda's (Dublin).

Furthermore, Glen Rovers (Cork) and Ballygunner (Waterford) met for a place in the Munster hurling final, while Cuala of Dublin clashed with Coolderry of Offaly in a mouth-watering Leinster club hurling quarter-final.
