Big well done to our Senior Team who saw off the challenge of Eire Og to book their place in the County Final v's St. Pats. Luckily for Rathnew football is indeed a game of 2 halves. Eire Og took command of the first half leading 8-3 at the break and looking good to topple our lads. Rathnew came out in the second half and grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck. Sheer grit, determination, skill and that invaluable commodity experience saw Rathnew find their way into another final. We had great leaders on the day with Power, Snell, Staff, Glynn and Mernagh bringing the game to the Greystones men though everyone ca be proud of their efforts. We now look forward to renewing acquaintances with the Wicklow Town side on the 11th of October.

Excellent coverage of the game online by Wicklow People Sport with Brendan Lawrence the commentator doing a cracking job. If anyone has a spare battery or a bike fitted with a dynamo please bring it along to Aughrim for the next day please.

Congratulations to Wicklow's U21 Hurling Team who were crowned All Ireland B Champions . It was great to see Captain Gavin Weir accept the Cup on behalf of he's victorious team. Well done to everyone involved its made all of the County proud.

Hard luck to our U12 Ladies who lost their semi final to a very experienced Valleymount team . A strong wind helped Vallymount to score some goals in the first half. Our 2nd half performance was much better. The girls have come along way in a short time and they all should be proud of themselves.Well done to our U14 Ladies with a great win in their Championship over Bray Emmets(from a division above us)  in Rathnew. It was a great team performance. The tickets have arrived for The All Ireland Ladies Finals so everyone is looking forward to a great day out on the 27th of September.

Great win for our U14 Boys who came out victorious v's Newtown by 2pts in a very high scoring game in Ashford this morning. This result puts the lads into the Final of the B Sheild. Well done to everyone.
