St Patricks GAA club notes

July 20, 2015

Well done to our Hurlers of the Week for this week; U8 Matthew Burke and U7 John O'Brien, two more players to watch out for in the future. We hosted Go Games last Friday in Dunbur with over 120 hurlers taking part from Glenealy, Eire Óg and our own St. Pat's lads. It was a very successful evening, many thanks to everyone who organised this event.

There are Cúl Camps taking place this week in Dunbar and next week we will host hurling camps. If you do both camps you will get a price reduction.

Well done to Brian McSorley and the U14 team who were honoured at half time during the Leinster Ladies Finals in Dr. Cullen Park on Sunday.

Congratulations to one of our U16 players, Jack Dunne, who won the MSL Motor Group Grange Motor Mercedes U15 skills competition.

Well done to the Minor Boys football team who had a hard earned victory over a very gallant and committed Barndarrig team in Dunbur last Wednesday evening. We trailed by one point at half time - 4 points to 5 points, but an improved second half saw us hold our opponents scoreless, while we added 9 points to collect our first brace of championship points. Bill Mc Hugh, Jack Kelly, Sean Fitzpatrick, Brian O'Sullivan, Conor O'Brien, Colin O'Toole and J.J.Power all contributed with fine performances over the hour. Best wishes to our corner back Reese Kelly who sustained a nasty ankle injury which resulted in a trip to Crumlin Hospital after the game. Hopefully, Reese will recover and be back in Dunbur very soon training and playing.

Scorers: Conor O Brien 5pts, Jack Kelly 3pts, Jack Dunne 2pts. Sean Fitzpatrick, Jack Kelly, Colin O'Toole and Cormac Marnane all 1 pt each.
