Féile Diaries
Great Féile reports by the AGB U14 Girls' Division V, U14 Girls' Division I and the Boys' teams on the AGB website. See http://www.arklowgaa.com.

U14 Div1 Girls
After the excitement of Féile our U14 girls were back in league action in Div1 on Thursday the 9th against a very young Bray Emmets. The message going out was to start on the front foot and get hold of the midfield battle early and not allow Bray in for an early score, which our girls have a tendency to do. Not tonight though, as we won the throw in and laid the foundation for a brilliant team performance. Pass and move was the order of the day as the ball moved quickly from the backs to the forwards and it was great to see the work pay off with some excellent scores. The full panel played their part tonight with some able to try out new positions on the field. Harder games lie ahead, but this win will lift the girls ahead of their final two league games and Championship. AGB were worthy winners. Bray just couldn't get going but never stopped trying. Well done AGB - a sterner test next week at home to Baltinglass.

U10 Girls
Well done to AGB U10 girls who travelled to Bunclody on Thursday evening, the 9th of July, for a league game. A great team performance, the girls came out on top winning 4-6 to 2-2.

U8 Girls
Big well done to U8 girls who performed very well at the Carnew blitz on Saturday the 11th.  Four tough matches against two Baltinglass teams, Carnew and Tinahely. Great effort by all and great experience for the girls. Thanks to all parents, admin and coaches for your effort and time today.

AGB Men
The Intermediate Men played Donard in the Darcy Sand Intermediate Football Championship in Aughrim, on Saturday the 11th but unfortunately finished the game trailing Donard by 2 points.

The men are out on Tuesday the 14th of July against Annacurra at home in Pearses Park in the Carter Cup. The match kicks off at 7.30pm.

AGB play Tinahely in Annacurra on Sunday the 19th of July at 11.30am in the Junior B Football Championship.

Minor Men
The Minor Men's' Fixtures are now up on the AGB website. See http://www.arklowgaa.com. AGB are in Group 3 and their first match is on the 15th of July, away, against Newtown. The match kicks off at 7.30pm.

U16 Boys
Our U16 boys' football team travelled to Newtown on Monday last and suffered their first defeat of the league campaign. The score at half time was AGB 1-4 Newtown 1-3. Newtown started the brighter in the second half, AGB tried very hard but could not overtake their opponents. Scorers for AGB were: James Larkin 1-5, Conor Breslin 0-3 and Tiernan McBride 0-1. There were very good displays from James Larkin, Conor Breslin, Mark Fitzgerald, Matthew Dempsey and Ross Joyce. Final score: AGB 1-9 Newtown 2-7.

U8/U10 Boys
The U8 and U10 AGB boys put in a great performance in their Blitz in Shillelagh on Saturday the 11th. Well done boys!
