Club Notes
Our men's hurlers played Kiltegan at Schools Road on Wednesday and both teams put on a great display of hurling for the spectators in attendance. Paddy O'Brien opened the scoring with a point for the Bray side in the opening minutes. Kiltegan responded with an early goal to put Fergal Ógs on the back foot. They followed this with two more points, one from play and one from a free close to goal. Fergal Ógs responded with a goal from Paddy O'Brien which was followed by a goal from Dan Kennedy. The back and forth point scoring continued as the sides went in at half-time with Kiltegan leading by two points.
In the 2nd half Kiltegan came out stronger and scored two goals and three points in the opening ten minutes. Fergal Ógs responded with points from Alan Hughes and Paddy O'Brien, while further goals from Garry O'Neill and Declan Doyle which brought the Bray men back into contention.
Unfortunately, those scores came too late and the team didn't have enough time to get the extra scores needed to level the tie.
The tie ended Fergal Ógs 4-9 Kiltegan 4-15.

Our U8's and U10's participated in a hurling blitz at Eire Óg Greystones on Friday. There were strong performances from both sides. From the U8's, Dennis Vickers and Sean Waldron led in the scoring department while Danielle Doyle and Finn Flanagan played brilliantly on defensive duty. Newcomer Ben Cox wasn't shy getting involved in the action either.
Cian Byrne and Oisin Allen played very well for the U10's in their matches, as did newcomer Michael Doran. We had a great blitz and must thank all the parents who traveled with the team.

We must congratulate our club vice chairperson Catherine Walsh who ran the mini marathon recently, with all of her sponsorship going towards the club.
We are currently one of the selected clubs in the Super Valu "Kits for Clubs" scheme, so if you are shopping in Super Valu on Castle St. Bray, be sure to keep an eye out for us.
Our ladies section are also currently one of the selected clubs for the Tesco "Community Fund" on Vevay Road, Bray.
The Stephen Costello Blitz Day has been postponed until Sat 18th July, to allow participants more time to collect sponsorship. For more information on the event you can contact club secretary Eamonn McKenna at 0871711847 or at [email protected].
