Ashford GAA club notes

June 22, 2015

Feile: We are holding a social evening for the teams and their parents for this weeks feile in the Community hall on Saturday 27th June. We would like as many members and players as possible to come along for the night.
We will also need some volunteers to help with the food etc. on the night so please let us know if you would be able to help out.
We will play the visiting team on Saturday morning 27th at 11.00 in the pitch and could do with as much help as possible getting the pitch set up in the week before this, putting up flags/bunting. cutting the grass, marking the pitch etc. Again if you would be able to take one of these jobs on please let us know.
Thanks to those who have volunteered to house the visiting kids for the Friday and Saturday night. We are still short a couple of houses so if anyone would be able to help out with this please let us know.
If anyone has any questions please contact Stephen Behan or Liam Byrne.

We would like to extend our condolences to the Kavanagh family after the sad passing of Donie Kavanagh, father of club captain Daniel Kavanagh, may he rest in peace.

Our clubhouse development is building momentum and we are now set to start work in early August. This will be a huge undertaking for our club and we will need the backing of the community if it is to be a success.
Plans for fundraising initiatives are being put in place and further information on this will be circulated in the coming weeks. We would appeal for all members of our community and surrounding communities to support us in any way they can as we aim to raise the necessary funds to complete the work as there is still a huge shortfall to be made up.
We look forward to the exciting times which are now upon us with this development which is set to benefit our club and community massively.drop
