Junior Men
AGB Juniors turned in an impressive performance in Annacurra on Thursday, the 21st of May, beating the home side by 5-10 to 0-2. It has to be said that Annacurra were under strength on the night, but a young Arklow side played fast and slick football, moving the ball quickly in the wet conditions. The Arklow team had a nice mix of youth and experience, with promising minors like Jack Hamilton, Cathal Kelleher, Ros McBride, Garreth Kenny, Kyle O'Connor, Gavin Bentley and the Jameson brothers blending nicely with seasoned veterans like Dick Tyrrell, Ian Kelleher, Conan Doyle and Jason Redmond. Washie also made a long awaited comeback and playing in the sweeper's role, he used his vast experience to spray the ball around impressively from the back. The junior team has been hit hard recently with 14 players called up for the intermediate team in the last 2 weeks, so Washie has done well to pull this team together. It's great to see the young players coming through this year on both the Junior and Intermediate teams, and these lads know how to play football. Jason Redmond top scored with 2-4 and showed good leadership up front. Other scorers were Cathal Kelleher 1-2, Gavin Bentley 1-1, Kyle O'Connor 1-0, Ros McBride 0-2, Jack Jameson 0-1. Man of the match was Cathal Kelleher who gave a superb attacking performance from centre back and ended up scoring 1-2 . Next game is against Carnew in the Pearse's Park next week and this will be a big step up as they are a Junior A team.

U16 Boys
AGB U16 boys travelled to Kilcoole on Monday the 18th of May and won their third league game in a row. James larkin started off the scoring with 2 well taken frees. There were some very good displays from Luke Delaney in goal, Tadhg O'Callaghan, Ben Fennell, Darragh Murray, Nathan Wolohan, Ciaran O'Shea, Andy Maher, Tiernan McBride, James Larkin and Quentin Reilly. Final score: AGB 5-12 Kilcoole 1-4.

Scorers for AGB were James Larkin 1-4, Tiernan McBride 3-3, Mark Hurley 1-1, Quentin Reilly 0-2, Conor Breslin 0-1 and Conor O'Shea 0-1.

U14 Div3 Girls
The U14 Div 3 girls continued their league campaign against An Tochar in Roundwood on Thursday evening, the 21st of May, where they suffered their first league defeat with a final score of 5:6 to 1:1. Although the score may suggest a very one sided game, this certainly was not the case. AGB had a lot of chances and possession in this game and definitely played their part in this lively encounter. Credit has to be given to the opposition's goalkeeper, who was in inspired form making several fantastic saves which included four one on ones that normally would have resulted in goals. At the other end An Tochar were very clinical when it came to taking their chances and were the deserved winners in the end. Heads up girls, there are better days to come and we'll continue to work hard in training to improve our all-round game. Also, best wishes to all our U14's taking their summer exams in school!

U12 Girls
Well done to AGB U12 girls who ran out convincing winners against Bray Emmets on a score of 4-5 to 2-0. Having clocked up a significant number of wides AGB only led by three points going in at half time. Bray had three scoring chances and had registered two goals compared to AGB's 16 attempts with 5 scores. The entire team played better in the second half keeping Bray scoreless. Scorers for AGB were Aoife Kavanagh 3-4, Tegan Doyle 1-0 and Liadain Kavanagh 0-1. Well done girls, keep up the great work. On a separate note we would like to wish Aine, Lauren and Aoibheann a speedy recovery having missed tonight's match through injury.

U10 Girls
The U10 girls displayed a fantastic team performance on the 19th of May in their first league game in Clonee. In a hard fought game, AGB came out on top winning 2-5 to 2-2. Well done girls, keep it up!
