St. Patrick's GAA Club Notes: 18th May 2015

There were quite a few matches this week, our Senior ladies had a great league win over Arklow on Monday night. They won on a score line of 1-15 to 3-08 with a great effort by everyone. A special mention to Aimi Healy who scored the winning point.

The men's Senior team also had a league match where they made the long travel to Baltinglass. They too won by a point thanks to a great team performance. The final score ended up 1-11 to 2-7.

Both of our Junior teams were out this week; the Junior A's won 3-07 to 1-08 and the Junior B's beat Fergal Óg on a scoreline of 4-13 to 2-06 with Keith Jameson wracking up a personal tally of 2-03.

The Club Development Draw tickets are now due, so if anyone has any tickets could they please drop them back to the club.

Our u8 hurlers were out training again this week in St. Patrick's NS where they were working on their frontal block, jab lifts and ground striking. The winners of the players of the week were u8 Eoin Lawlor and u7 Conor Coffey.

Thanks to all the volunteers who helped out with the bag pack this weekend in Tesco and Supervalu to aid the club host the All Ireland u14 Feile.

A massive well done to Graham Carton who came second in The Cube who was representing the club. He managed to collect a cheque worth €500 in aid of the club.

Our condolences to the family of Capt. Kevin (Fred) Teevan, husband of the late Kathleen (nee Fitzpatrick), who passed away on 11th May peacefully at his home.

This week's club lotto jackpot of €6,600 was not won. The numbers drawn were 6, 10, 20 and 21. The bonus number was 13. Well done to Stacey and Keira Dowling, Hannah Doyle, J Brannigan and Stacey Gill who all managed to draw three numbers to share the prize of €250.
