Wicklow minor manager John Murphy is adamant that they are making progress despite losing their Leinster MFC opener to Longford.
Six points was the margin between the sides as Wicklow now turn their attention to a meeting with Laois on Wednesday, May 6th.
And Murphy told the Wicklow People that the side did not play to their full potential against Longford.
"I'm very pleased with the progression of the team. They have progressed to a very good standard," stated Murphy.
"But, it's a massive disappointment to see them getting beaten and not fulfilling their potential. It's disappointing that the other people of Wicklow who were at the game didn't get to see them at their best. This team deserved to win.
"When we started with this team at under-14 the goal was to get to a Leinster final in 2015 so this is a massive disappointment."
