Wicklow minor football manager John Murphy is pleased with their preparations ahead of the Leinster MFC clash against Longford this Saturday.
The Garden County have home advantage in Blessington and they will be hoping to make full use of that fact this weekend.
"Preparations have been good," Murphy told the Wicklow People. "The boys have put in a lot of work."
Wicklow beat an experimental Dublin side recently and ran Westmeath close in challenge matches and Murphy is adamant there were many positives to take from those games.
"Strength wise, any Dublin team is strong," added Murphy. The lads played very well and it was a great game to watch and it gave them a big boost.
"The following week we played Westmeath and ok, they beat us by five points, but for the last two years our minors have been taken some big falls against Westmeath and physically we are stronger this year."
