The footballers chalked their first win of the 2015 season with a 4pt win over neighbours Knockananna last weekend. Both sides were short a few key players on the day and with a gale force blowing mistakes were aplenty. We played against the wind in the opening half and despite lots of possession we went in trailing 1-3 to 5pts at the break. We settled better in the second, held Knockananna to 2pts and put some good moves together. The final score read 1-9 to 1-5. Hopefully injuries to Glen and Liam don't prove too serious and they'll be back in short. There was no lotto jackpot last week. The numbers drawn were 4. 12. 16. 18 with Betty Wybrant the only match three winner.
