Our Senior Footballers had a good win in the Campus Oil Division 1 league against Hollywood on Sunday evening last. The final score was St Pats 0-12 Hollwood 1-7. Robert Hollingsworth and his management team of Gary Duffy and Liam Keogh picked a very young team and they all played very well including Andy Murphy in goals, Shane Doyle, James Kavanagh, Simon Bouchier and of course the auld reliable Darragh O Sullivan. There was a good crowd at the match and it was great to get a win underneath our belt.
Our annual AGM took place last Thursday evening and we have a new Chairmain and Secretary. John Gill is our new chairman and James Phelan is our new Secretary.Alan O Brien reamains on as Treasurer for another term.
We would like to thank our outgoing Chairman John Smith for all the hard work he conducted in the club in the past four years. Alan Lawlor is the boys juvenile chairman and of course the very reliable Georgina Cruise is the Ladies Chairperson.The new committees will now be tasked with the implementation of our New Development Plan immediately.So we need the full support of the entire club.
Club memberships are now due and Eddie Leonard our club Registrar will be collecting memberships in the clubhouse over the coming Saturday's ie Saturday 21st and Saturday the 28 th of March between 11am and 1pm.
Our " Little Warriors" club takes place every Saturday at Dunbur Road between 11am and 12 pm for boys and girls between the ages of 4-6 in both codes ie hurling and Football.Our Tuck Shop will also be open for teas and coffees.
Well done to Brian Finnegan and Gerry Farrell who were inducted at our AGM as honorary Presidents of St. Patricks GAA Club.
