Well done to both Rathnew Clubmen Peter Dignam and James Manley on their awards at the Wicklow GAA Awards night in Arklow last Saturday night. Peter was voted Senior Club Player for 2014 and James Intermediate Club  hurler whilst playing for Glenealy.

The first Committee meeting of 2015 takes place on Wednesday night .

Dinner Dance 2015: Rathnew GAA Club will host its Dinner Dance on Saturday 14th of February in The Grand Hotel Wicklow. Tickets available from all Committee members price E30 each.Music by Flashback.

Our girls U12 and U14's are starting back February 6th (Friday) at 6 to 7pm indoor soccer pitch.

Applications are requested from any interested parties in Manager/Coaching positions with Rathnew GAA Club. This covers all our Adult teams , male and female, and all our Juvenile teams male and female. Please get in touch with Club Sec Larry Ellis.

Club Membership for 2015 is now due, any player who does not pay membership will not be insured and therefore is unplayable.

Congratulations to Ms Zoe Collard who celebrated her 21st with friends and family in the Leitrim Lounge last weekend. Congratulations also to Ms Georgia Collard and Ms Clodagh Vickers who both turned 18 last week.

Rathnew GAA Club would like to extend its sincere sympathy to the Duffy family The Quarry Rathnew on the sad passing of Tommy 'Chubby' Duffy R.I.P. recently in Exeter England. Also sincere sympathy to the O'Neill family Ashford on the sad passing of Rose O'Neill nee Byrne R.I.P. The Club would also like to extend deepest sympathies to the Murphy family Arklow on the sad passing of Pat Murphy R.I.P. Pat was County Chairman twice and over saw some of Wicklow's best days on the football field. He also formerly owned  the garage in Rathnew that is now Applegreen.

Congratulations to Colin Clare and Kellie Kinsella on the birth of their baby girl Ellie-mae.

There will be a benefit night next Friday evening in the Leitrim Lounge for Leanne Doyle daughter of Martin 'Sparrow' Doyle. Leanne has been quite unwell since the birth of her child.
