There's a 'schemozzle' on 'The Apprentice'

November 21, 2014

Dara Ó Briain launched the 14th annual All-Ireland Kick Fada competition hosted by the Bray Emmets GAA Club in Co. Wicklow

Comedian Dara Ó Briain used one of Micheal O'Hehir's favourite words on BBC TV this week.

"There's a bit of a schemozzle in the parallelogram," was a phrase the legendary broadcaster regularly used during his GAA commentaries and Ó Briain borrowed the 'schemozzle' word while presenting 'The Apprentice: You're Fired' programme on BBC2 on Wednesday night.

The Wicklow native later explained to baffled British viewers on twitter in his own inimitable way the meaning of 'schemozzle', which has long been a part of GAA speak.
