Carnew have completed an astonishing underage hurling clean sweep in the Garden County.

On Saturday afternoon last, the Emmets recorded a 1-11 to 1-4 victory over Michael Dwyers in the U16 'A' HC final at Arklow, having led by 1-10 to 1-2 at the break.

The victory means Carnew have this year won every underage championship in Wicklow from U12 to minor - a stunning accomplishment.

When these young players come of age, Carnew Emmets could be looking at an extended period of dominance at senior level.

Justin House captained the Wexford border side to victory last weekend and centre back Adam Barnes collected the Man of the Match award.
