Tinahely landed the Carter Cup with a thrilling 2-11 to 2-6 victory over Carnew Emmets.

The final was played in Arklow on Sunday morning and the men in red were helped to victory by a sensational Paul Cullen goal.

Carnew had roared into a 2-4 to 0-3 half-time lead but Tinahely staged a stunning second-half revival with Alan Dillon (1-3) and Cullen (1-2) top-scoring.

Meanwhile, John Joe Myers bagged 1-3 for the losers.

After the final whistle, captain Gavin Kenny collected the Carter Cup from Mick Hagan.
