U14 'A' Football Championship Final
Bray Emmets 4-11 St Pats 4-6

Bray Emmets were crowned U14 County Champions in Arklow last Saturday after a brilliant display of football. They recovered from conceding a goal in the first minute of the match to lead at half time against the wind and then dominated large periods of the second half. St Pats scored a goal with 7 minutes remaining which could have signalled a come back but instead Bray Emmets went up the field and scored a couple of brilliant points to seal the win.

Very hard to single out individuals as this was a fantastic team effort by all and a great end to the season. This team have scored 29 goals in 5 games in the championship - a testament to the hard work they have put in with their coach Niall McGraynor on the training field.

The team and the mentors would like to thank all the supporters and parents who travelled to support them on the day.

Leinster Hurling Championship
Our Senior Hurling team had another first on Sunday in playing Ballinakill from Laois in the Leinster club championship in O'Moore Park, Portlaoise. There was a very large number of supporters from Bray who helped create a good atmosphere for the occasion.
Bray played against a strong wind in the first half and in spite of the great advantage to Ballinakill the score was 0-13 to 0-6 for Ballinakill at half-time.  When Ballinakill were reduced to 14 men after a sending-off it looked like it could be Bray Emmet's day. However in spite of a great effort it was not to be, with Ballinakill getting through with a score-line of Ballinakill 0-18, Bray Emmets 0-13.
This team has given the club some great days this year having won the County Championship for the first time in 62 years and also winning the League. A very big thank you all the players and the management team of John Henderson, Bill Maher, Liam Kenny, Joe Barnes, Liam McGraynor and  Olan Savage who put so much work all year. There is no doubt that this young team has a good future and we look forward to many successes in the future.
