Former Dublin footballer Johnny Magee will take charge of Wicklow for the 2015 season.
The appointment will see Magee beginning his inter-county management career having served under Harry Murphy, who departed his post in the summer, as a selector this past season.
Magee won two Leinster titles over a decade with Dublin's senior footballers and is the holder of an All-Ireland club SFC medal which he won in 2009 with his native Kilmacud Crokes.
The 36-year-old is expected to be officially ratified to the Garden County post at the next meeting of the county board.
