Senior Notes:

Senior - Our Seniors play away to Baltinglass on Fri 3 Oct in the Campus Oil Div 1 football league at 20:00.

Jun A - Our Junior A's beat  Laragh on Sun 28 Sep in Aughrim in the Championship Semi-final in on a scoreline of 1-14 to 0-07. They now play Kilmacanogue in the final in Aughrim on Sat 11 Oct. Time to be confirmed. Well done to players and management.

Jun C - Our Junior C team played Baltinglass on Sun 28 Sep in the Fr Lucey cup final in Blessington. This was a tough game and in the end both finished on 1-09 each. Replay to be confirmed. All roads lead to Aughrim next Sat 4th Oct for the Jun C County Final v Donard. We are training hard for this game so get behind our lads and come out and support us and be out 16th man.

Juvenile Notes:

U8's - The U8 boys and girls had their skills test last Tues  23 Sep. All the kids did very well and have progressed really well since the start of the year. The coaches would like to thank Jonathan Daniels and Eoin Keogh for supervising the boys skills test and Molly Cullen and Kim Connors for the girls skills test. Boy's training on Tuesday evenings will finish next week but will continue on Saturdays until end of October. Girl's training will continue on Tuesdays for another few weeks.

U14's  - Our U14's will play Avondale in the Shield Semi Final. More information on www.blessingtongaa.ie or our club text from Tues 30 Sep.

U16's - Our U16's play off in the U16 championship Group 2 v Baltinglass will take place in Donard on Mon 29 Sep at 7.15pm. Please support the lads.

Minors - Hard luck to our Minor football team who were beaten by a 2 point margin by St Pats in the Championship semi final in Bray on Sat 27 Sep. Blessington were 2 pts up at half time and it was all square with 10mins to go but St Pats finished the stronger.

 

Hurling - Congratulations to Western Gaels u12s on wining their Go Games mini festival final in Ballinakill on Sun 28 Sep v Aughrim. Well done to Blessington representatives on the team Jon Kehoe, Ben Higgins and Oisin Brogan.


North Kildare League

U9 - Hurling - Blessington U9 hurlers played home to Confey in NKL today. Blessington started well and led 4-2 at half time with some great scores. Confey to their credit never gave up and scored twice in  injury time to snatch a late draw,  match ending 7-7. Great performances for Blessington from Patrick Foley, Senan Gardner and Brian Richardson.

U11 - Football - Our U11's played in the North Kildare League on Mon 22 Sep at home and had a great win over Allenwood kicking the winning score in a very tight and exciting match in the last minutes of the game.  They next play away to Maynooth on Sat 4 Oct @ 16:30.

U 12 - Football -  Our U12's played away to Carbury on Sat 27 Sep and despite putting in a strong performance were beaten by on the day.

Lotto: Our club lotto was NOT won on Tues 23 Sep. Numbers drawn were 1, 13, 20 and 25. There were 3 lucky people who matched 3 numbers - Eoghan Hennessy, Ollie Byrne and Shane Brophy. Our next jackpot will be €8000. Next draw is on Tues 7 Oct in Bealins. General club notes

 

    Birthday wishes to Alex Doyle, Jack Brady, Dara Finlayson, Kevin Quinn and Rian Magee.
    Congratulations to Isobel Shannon and David on their marriage on Fri. The very best wishes to you both.
    Our very best wishes are sent to little Conor Clow who is recovering very well in Crumlin Children's Hospital from his operation on 19 Sep. Conor is grandson to Pete (RIP) and Nora Nolan. We hope to see you home very soon.
