Juvenile Notes:

U8's/U10's Football Go Games

U8's - We hosted the final Go Games of the season on Sat 13 Sep. Teams from Dunlavin, Kildride/Lacken and Valleymount took part. In total 8 teams played including 3 from Blessington. All teams played very well and in a sporting manner.  Thanks to all the parents who provided the food afterwards and especially to all who helped making tea etc. Training on Tuesdays and Saturday continues as usual.

U10's - Super day and some great performances with special mention to Alex Punselie who threw himself around the pitch and covered every blade of grass. Well done Alex.

U12's - Our U12's played at home to Eire Og last Mon night and were beaten. Our last match is on Mon 15 Sep v Donard/The Glen at home at 19.00. The U12 Mini Festival finals will be held in Ballinakill this Sat 20 Sep.

U14's - Our U14's play their final championship match away to St Pat's, Wicklow Town this Sat 20 Sep at 16.00.

U16's - A turbulent week for our under 16s. We were beaten by Baltinglass on Monday night in a game that we looked like winning at half time. Following the defeat, progress to the semi final looked unlikely. In a fortunate turn of events, the final game in the group produced a result which means that Blessington, St. Nicholas and Baltinglass ended on the same amount of point. There is a play off now to see who progresses to the semi final. Blessington are at home to Baltinglass (final date and time to be determined) in the play off with the winner playing St. Nicholas. The rollercoaster for the team continues!!...

North Kildare League

U9 - Football - Last Wednesday the U9 team traveled to Johnstownbridge in the north Kildare league. A cracking game ensued and while we fell short at the final whistle, the kids gave it their all, played really well and were pipped by a bigger team. Next up is Carbury!

U9 - Hurling -  Blessington U9 hurlers played away to Moorefield in the NKL on Fri night. Two teams were well matched and served up a great game. Blessington raced into a four point lead with some great scores. Moorefield fought back and scored in injury time to draw the match 7-7. Great performances from Finn Behan, Aaron Gilligan and top scorer Brian Richardson.

U10 - Football - Good display by the u10 footballers in Celbridge on Saturday afternoon where they won easily against a weakened local team. Both Marc Mehoe and Sam Gough performed very well. Next up is the Kilmacud Crokes blitz this Sat 20 Sep where they will be up against teams from all over the country.

U 11 - Hurling -  We had a great win in the NKL on Sun morning. The winning point scored by Conor Richardson in the last few minutes. Conor Gilligan and Liam Phibbs also did very well.
