The Wicklow senior football championship semi finals take place this weekend.

Aughrim is the venue for both games as part of an attractive doubleheader as Eire Og and St Patricks go head to head at 2pm.

The second semi final sees Baltinglass take on Rathnew in a battle of two old rivals in a repeat of last year's county final, which the latter won.

Eire Og have been the coming team in recent years and they face the 2012 champions in confident mood and they look god enough to make it through to the final.

Rathnew have beaten Baltinglass in their last two encounters and they enter this clash as slight favourites to record a third straight win over their rivals.
