St Patricks GAA notes

September 01, 2014

Well done to our Senior footballers who won against Annacurra in the quarter final of the Coogan Steel Senior Football Championship. The final score was St. Patricks 1-16 to Annacurra's 2-06.The game itself was always tight and close as Annacurra played very defensive type football.Paul Earls played great championship football as indeed did our Club Captain Colley Byrne who was inspirational at times as he pulled off some fantastic saves.Paudge Mc Walter and Shane Morley played well in the back line as indeed did Kieran Doyle who got injured and had to be replaced.Young Donal Marron had a great game of football and was very steady on his feet all afternoon.John Crowe also had an inspirational game and was up and down the side line for most of the game.
The Championship Draw takes place for the Semi Finals at Ballinakill Centre of Excellence and the game is to be played next weekend either the Saturday or Sunday.
We wish Kieran Doyle a speedy recovery.
