Dunlavin GAA Club Notes

August 25, 2014

On the field our Intermediate team had a fine win on Saturday evening over Arklow Geraldines in Division 2 league on a score line of 3.23 to .03 points in Dunlavin, not really the contest we were hoping for however it was a great chance for lads to impress the management in time for our big championship semi-final in 2 weeks vs Ballymanus, before that we have another important league game vs Stratford next sat  30th where we are still battling for promotion to the Senior league for 2015. Best wishes lads over the coming weeks as this is where all of the hard work everyone has put in throughout the year pays off!

Our Junior team were very unlucky in their defeat to Rathnew on Sunday morning in the Junior B championship in Aughrim on a score of 2.07 to .07 , we dominated this game from start to finish but just could not get the scores on the board, no doubt the lads will bounce right back now and make a good charge for the league.

Dunlavin Gaa would like to thank Harry Murphy for the excellent work done with the Wicklow Senior Footballers and wish him the very best for the future, thank you for the great memories Harry.

This week's lotto jackpot is €4400!! So make sure you pick up your €2.00 ticket , available in all of the local business throughout the village, thank you for supporting the running of our great club.
